About Monique

Monique Pettaway is a Teacher, Speaker, Life Coach, Minister and Author helping women develop spiritually and fulfill their dreams and destiny. She is also a published author of a book entitled Incarcerated but Free – How to find freedom from your mental prison, available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Monique obtained her Master’s degree from Troy State University in Public Administation with a concentration in Public Personnel. She also received her AA in Educational Administration from Nova Southeastern University with a concentration in Educational Leadership.

Monique  received her call to minister to the body of Christ in 2005 at Mt. Hebron Church where she is on the ministerial staff, women’s ministry and many other ministries in the church.

Born in Mobile, Alabama to the parents of Annie and Samuel Pettaway.  Monique Pettaway is a graduate of Alabama A & M University, located in Huntsville, Alabama. Upon leaving A & M University, Monique  became a teacher in the Huntsville City Schools District where she taught for a year and a half, from there she moved back to her home town of Mobile, Alabama and continued her teaching career as a Science  and Social Studies teacher where she has taught for the last 18 years.

Monique is currently the Academy Specialist at Williamson High School where she oversees the Maritime Signature Academy and guides students to a college and career ready path.
